Creativity and Innovation

2009 was a fantastic year for the Lifelong Learning Programme and Youth in Action. Last July saw ECOTEC and the British Council jointly organise a successful event 'A Vision of the Future' which took place in Birmingham.

The event was a fitting contribution to the 2009 European Year of Creativity and Innovation. Over 300 delegates from across the UK and Europe attended, making it an excellent opportunity for likeminded innovators in the education, training and youth sectors to meet and learn from one another.

A Vision of the Future is a publication which showcases some of the great projects linked to the European Year of Creativity and Innovation 2009. Read about exciting partnerships allowing students to write and perform their own songs, encouraging disadvantaged young people to volunteer in Europe, producing materials based on touch and sound for visually impaired trainees, and allowing school children to take part in their own Eurovision Song Contest.
